ABOUT US
Honeysuckle Ranch is a vast, wooded property that has never been touched. Tucked just behind Bee Tree Farm and Dairy, it has served as a refuge for wildlife for centuries and only recently was carefully opened for the construction of a rustic gathering space.

Prior to becoming an event space, the ranch sat behind a commercial goat dairy led by Jenna who crafted farmstead cheeses from the milk of her own goats. Over the course of ten years she learned the art of cheesemaking and the science and joy of milking goats. During that time, Bee Tree goat cheese was sold across Texas, and Jenna hosted many classes and events at the original farm. While she has ended the cheese making program, the goats continue to produce incredible milk and Bee Tree will launch a selection of goat milk body products and sweet treats very soon!

Honeysuckle Ranch at Bee Tree
The property was purchased in 2008, just 20 miles east of downtown Austin, and the land was completely overgrown, tangled, wild and without any utilities or buildings. Over the course of many (many) years and through much (much) sweat, tears, and blood equity, we not only carved out a home deep in the woods – but we built a dairy building, barns, a farm business and community from scratch on this forgotten and abused land. Not only do our original dairy building, barn, and pavilion remain as destinations for educational and agricultural experiences for the public, but Honeysuckle Ranch is a completely new, secluded experience in the woods behind the original farm. It is an honor to share this special land and these incredible animals with you.

Here at the Honeysuckle Ranch at Bee Tree, we believe that staying close to the source of food matters, especially when animals are involved. So we keep ours close and work hard to give them the natural spaces they deserve while protecting the land we all share.

And why the name Honeysuckle? Because when clearing the half-mile driveway through the woods to the barn, a hidden, spring-fed pond was discovered deep in the forest. The pond was completely surrounded by a tangle of wild honeysuckle: the only place it has ever been found on the entire property. After that, naming the ranch was easy.
